Dear Parents,
As the football season gets closer, we want to let you know of ways we are going to try and protect your kids from the spread of COVID-19. We are dedicated to making sure that we have a great season even during these uncertain times. We feel that having sports available for kids is crucial for their mental health.
Here are some steps we are taking to ensure the safety of the kids:
Temperature checks – Before every practice and every game. This will include all camps in July.
Hand sanitizer – Kids will have to sanitize their hands before starting practice or a game.
Equipment Cleaning – Coaches will clean all practice equipment before every practice. During camps, coaches will clean equipment between each rotation.
Masks – These will NOT be mandatory. This will be up to parents to decide if they want to wear a mask.
Some things parents can do during the season:
Obviously make sure kids are staying healthy, washing their hands, and staying home when feeling sick.
Best practice for killing germs, viruses, and bacteria on helmets is to spray the helmet down after practice and game with some Lysol spray. Lysol will not harm the helmets.
Communicate with your coaches immediately if you feel that your household may have had contact with someone with COVID-19.
Our practice and game fields already lend themselves to social distancing. Please respect others desires to social distance.
Together, taking these simple steps, we can have a fun, exciting season. If you have an concerns or questions please feel free to contact anyone on the board or your coaches.
